For the initiated The Warriors should need no introduction, but for those of you not yet exposed to this incredible slice of late 70s urban action genius allow me a moment to convince you of it’s power. In a dystopian New York City the colourful street gangs rule, but one man wants to bring them together to take over totally, until that man is shot dead and the street gang The Warriors are accused of pulling the trigger. What ensues is a race back to Coney Island, across a city where The Warriors are wanted by everyone.Containing a fantastic Disco Rock score by Barry De Vorzon and directed by Walter Hill (director of 48 Hours / Red Heat / Southern Comfort and producer of the Alien series) The Warriors is a classic that shouldn’t be missed.Tonight’s presentation will be from the original 80s video cassette cut, as with the advent of DVD, Walter Hill pulled a George Lucas and recut and totally ruined the film. Can you dig it?Trailer - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAUMri0mv8M9pm StartAfter the screening Antoni Maiovvi will play a selection of cosmic, prog and cosmic progVHS PresentationKosmiche Bar: Berlin’s ONLY Videotape and Vinyl nighthttps://www.facebook.com/events/118209501652027/

Das Gift is an old Berliner style Kneipe which was taken over by a Scottish couple; one a musician and the other an artist. We decided to keep the bar as it was, complete with the tree & taxidermy birds installation created by the previous owner.

What was important to us was to add a wider selection of special drinks, including beers from Scotland and handmade vodka from Austria, and having quick and friendly service. We like to play an interesting music selection from new as well as established artists, and regularly host after show parties.

The former darts club room is now a separate gallery space which hosts exhibitions and projects by international and local artists. It is also suitable for use as a pop-up shop or market. Please contact us if you are interested in using this space.

Our bar has a separate smoking room.

We believe in fair distribution of money for musicians and have paid GEMA since opening.
